What is this Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) Student Emergency Grant funds program?
Under the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA), the Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds II program provides funds to colleges and universities to award emergency financial aid grants to students who continue to experience a financial hardship as a result of disruption due to COVID-19.
CRRSAA Student Emergency Aid Grants may be used for any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or childcare.
Emergency grant funds are limited and will be disbursed to eligible students based on order of application until all CRRSAA funds are depleted. Please note that the CRRSAA requires that institutions prioritize students with exceptional need, such as students who receive Pell Grants, in awarding financial aid grants to students.
