What Do We Do at Care Services?
Florida SouthWestern State College is focused on educating and informing the community through caring, advocacy and supportive endeavors. Florida SouthWestern State College cares about our student’s holistic development and wellness. We believe that for all students to be successful, support must be given on an emotional, social, physical and intellectual basis.
Our network provides support for all students through challenges they may face during their time at FSW. We recognize that it can often be overwhelming for students to navigate all of the support available to them. We assist in proactively connecting all students with campus resources and community partners for a successful academic, social, and emotional experience.
As part of the "Care" model the team also enhances institutional awareness of potential threats to campus safety. Additionally, this team can provide students, faculty, and staff with opportunities to assess and manage problematic behavior before this behavior becomes a formal violation of the Student Code of Conduct. We encourage faculty, staff and students to report behavioral issues that represent disruptions that may affect the learning environment.
