The Student Conduct Board consists of students, faculty, and staff at FSW. Members of the Student Conduct Board review student conduct cases and serve as hearing officers for formal disciplinary hearings. The purpose of the Student Conduct Board is to provide students and student organizations that have been charged with violations of the Code of Conduct a fair and unbiased process and to allow them to be heard by other members of the FSW community. The Student Conduct Board will review all relevant case information, ask questions of the student or student organization during the hearing, and then decide if the accused participant(s) should be found responsible based on the information presented.
The Office of Community Standards will conduct annual training sessions on student conduct regulations and procedures, which all board members are required to complete. Board members will also have the opportunity to educate students on their rights and responsibilities, uphold behavioral standards, and increase student learning. Serving on the Student Conduct Board provides individuals with an opportunity to enhance critical thinking and decision-making skills, gain leadership experience, and make a difference in the FSW community.
