Meet with Academic Advising
I’m a New Student / I have an Advising Hold
Check your status. Advising is the final step in your enrollment process. When it is time for you to meet with an Advisor, you will receive email and text instructions. Just follow those instructions and we will guide you through the process! If you are unsure about your status or your next step, contact us.
> Starting in Spring B-Term? Follow the instructions in your email and text messages to clear your Advising hold and register for classes.
> Starting in Summer or Fall? Registration is not open yet for these terms! We will notify you when it is time for you to meet with Advising and clear your Advising hold so you can register.
I’m a Current FSW Student
> Make an Appointment Book an appointment with your Advisor on your FSW Portal. Search for “Meet with Academic Advising” and bookmark it!
> Drop-in Without an Appointment Advisors are available for in-person and remote drop-in meetings on Wednesdays and Thursdays* without an appointment. Just come to the Advising Office at your preferred FSW location or contact us to join the virtual queue for a remote meeting.
* Drop-in Advising for Nursing and Allied Health students may not be available on certain days. Please schedule an appointment with your Advisor in your FSW Portal.
> Email your Academic Advisor Advisors can answer many questions by email. Please note that our standard response time is 2 business days, and it may be longer during certain busy times of year or if your Advisor is out of the office. Find your Advisor’s contact information on your FSW Portal on the Success Team card.
> Ask a quick question by Phone, Live Chat, or Email Have a quick question? We are available by phone, chat, and email during operating hours, and our virtual assistant is available 24/7. Please note that our standard email response time is 2 business days.

Academic Advisors at FSW assist you with selecting classes, but that's not all! They will help you explore our academic programs to help you determine which program will help you land your dream career or transfer to a university to further your education.
New Students: Having trouble making an appointment?

First Time in College Students*: Your first step is to attend a mandatory Advising Workshop. Check your email for instructions or click here.
Transfer and Readmit Students: Complete your other enrollment steps before meeting with an advisor. Click here to check your status.
*Includes incoming freshmen and graduating high school seniors with dual enrollment credits from FSW.
