Biography
Susan L Foster, EdD, MBA, RHIA, CHPS, CHC, CHPC, CIPP/US, CC, FAHIMA Dr. Foste has over 30 years’ experience in the health information profession and currently serves as director and professor of the Associate of Science in Health Information Technology program at Florida SouthWestern State College. Prior to her current tenure, she worked in HIPAA privacy compliance education at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she developed and provided employee and student education on healthcare privacy and security. She has served in various roles for AHIMA, the Ozark Area Health Information Management Association, Missouri Health Information Management Association, and Florida Health Information Management Association. Dr. Foster continues to conduct research, publish articles and is an avid speaker. She is passionate about education and the development of future health information professionals.
