Biography
Having 10 years of corporate accounting and almost 20 years of academic experience to bring to the classroom, Dr. Thompson is passionate about accounting. She aims to share her love of the discipline and bring accounting to life. She will never tell you that something is not possible. She graduated from college in 1997 and never intended to become a CPA or go on to graduate school. She received her CPA license in 2011 when her children were 8 and 6. Eight years later, while teaching full-time, she graduated with her doctorate. She lives with her husband in Naples, FL, on their 2.5 acres where she enjoys working in the yard, and gardening. She also loves riding her bike and walking their two dogs. She looks forward to having you in an accounting class!
