Biography
<p><strong>Alisa Callahan</strong> teaches finance related courses for Florida SouthWestern State College. She earned her Master of Science in Finance from Boston College in Boston, MA and her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. Prior to joining the faculty at FSW, Professor Callahan had an extensive career in commercial banking, specifically in workout lending, at a major banking institution where she managed a complex national loan portfolio of substandard borrowers. She also has considerable experience in private equity/venture capital where she focused on the Media, Communications, and Healthcare sectors. There she evaluated business plans and applied detailed financial modeling for financial analysis, business valuation, pro forma forecasting, and return projections as well as other due diligence for prospective investments. Professor Callahan enjoys following the stock market and trading “for fun” and playing tennis in her free time. But, most of her weekends consist of watching her twin boys compete in their latest regatta as they race sailboats very competitively.</p>
