Florida SouthWestern State College provides a variety of musical experiences—both for those who will be consumers of music, and those who will be music professionals. Students may take courses leading to the Associate of Arts degree with music emphasis.
This two-year degree represents all coursework required for transfer to any upper division music program in the State of Florida.
Our program features an emphasis centered around the following elements:
- Distinguished Faculty and Scholarships
- One-on-One Applied Lessons with Master Teachers in Voice; Piano; Organ; Guitar; and all Orchestral Instruments: Brass; Woodwinds; Percussion; and Strings.
- Performance opportunities in outstanding ensembles including: Florida SouthWestern State College Symphony Orchestra; FSW Concert Band; Jazz Ensembles; Florida SouthWestern State College Choir; and Chamber Groups.
- Courses in Music Theory; Sight Singing and Ear Training; Music History and Appreciation; Class Piano; Jazz Improvisation; Class Voice; and more.
