Submitting Academic Records to FSW

High School Transcripts

FSW Office of Admissions

Transcripts can take 10 - 14 business days to be fully processed. (5 - 7 business days for delivery and 5 - 7 business days for processing.)

Dual Enrollment applicants should follow the instructions on the Getting Started as a Dual Enrollment Student page. F-1 Visa applicants should contact International Student Services at internationalstudent@fsw.edu.

Most students (exceptions include international, bachelor's, and dual enrollment students) will be accepted after we receive their high school transcript and application. If you do not receive your acceptance email within 3 weeks of submitting your transcript, please contact your Admissions Counselor to check the status of your application.

If you have not yet graduated, send an in-progress, unofficial transcript by requesting that your high school send it to the FSW Office of Admissions. They will either send it directly to FSW, or you can submit it yourself via our electronic document submission form.

Once you graduate (or if you have already graduated), request that your high school send an official transcript* with your graduation date to the FSW Office of Admissions as soon as possible!

See important information for students accepted before high school graduation below.

Follow the instructions on the Florida Department of Education website (or that of your state's credentialing agency) for instructions on submitting your GED to the FSW Office of Admissions.

If you have not yet graduated, your Home School Official (parent/guardian) can complete and sign a Verification of Home School Completion (because you have not yet graduated, it does not need to be notarized) and submit it along with a transcript (if available) via the electronic document submission form.

Once you have graduated (or if you have already graduated), your Home School Official (parent/guardian) must complete a Verification of Home School Completion which must be notarized and submitted along with a transcript (if available) via the electronic document submission form.

See important information for students accepted before high school graduation below.

Non-U.S. transcripts must be submitted to one of the approved National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) agencies for evaluation.

Evaluated high school transcripts should be sent directly from the evaluation agency to the FSW Office of Admissions.

F-1 Visa students should contact International Student Services at internationalstudent@fsw.edu.

Other Academic Records

Credit by exam scores include Advanced Placement (AP), Cambridge AICE, College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB), DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST - military exams) and Excelsior exam credit. Information regarding transfer can be found in the catalog under the Degree Acceleration and Honors Programs, Credit by Examination section.

Credit by exam scores are not required for acceptance to the college (unless you are a bachelor's applicant), but they will be required in order to meet with your advisor so that we can place you in the correct classes for your first semester.

Prior college transcripts are not required for acceptance to the college (unless you are a bachelor's applicant), but they will be required in order to meet with your advisor so that we can place you in the correct classes for your first semester.

Non-U.S. college transcripts should be requested to be evaluated course-by-course (by an approved National Association of Credential Evaluation Services [NACES]) and should be sent directly from the evaluation company to the FSW Office of the Registrar.

How long does it take to process my high school transcript, home school verification, or GED?

Transcripts can take 10 - 14 business days to be fully processed (5 - 7 business days for delivery and 5 - 7 business days for processing). There may be an additional slight delay before high school appears as completed in your financial aid checklist.

Have you received my high school transcript, home school verification, or GED?

If you have received your acceptance email from FSW and can login to your FSW Student Portal, we have received your high school transcript, home school completion verification, or GED. If you were accepted to FSW before you graduated high school, see the important information below about how to get your official transcript to FSW.

What do I need to know if I received my acceptance email from FSW before I graduated high school?

If you were accepted to FSW before you graduated high school, we accepted you based on an unofficial, in-progress transcript. An official transcript* with your graduation date will be required to receive financial aid and to register in classes beyond your first semester at FSW.

To check if we have processed your official high school transcripts (for students accepted before they graduated high school only):

If you were already a high school graduate before you applied to FSW, review this FAQ regarding transcript status.

  • If you have applied for financial aid, review your financial aid checklist. If "High School Completion" is marked as satisfied, we have received your official high school transcripts*. (Once received, transcripts may take 5-7 business days to process and there may be a slight delay before completion appears in your financial aid checklist.)
  • If you do not plan to apply for financial aid and we were unable to retrieve your official transcript with your graduation date, a hold will be placed on your student account after your first semester begins. You will be unable to register in classes for any future semesters until we receive your official transcript* with your graduation date.

Do I need to submit my high school transcripts if I attended another college?

Yes, unless a college credential at the associate degree level or higher was awarded with transcripts provided to the Office of the Registrar.

*What are official transcripts?

Official transcripts are transcripts submitted directly to the FSW Office of Admissions from your school electronically via an approved method (e.g. FASTER, Parchment, etc.) or delivered to the FSW Office of Admissions (by hand or mail) in an official, sealed envelope.
