Do I need a BUC Card to copy or scan?

It’s quicker to swipe your BUC Card, but you can also log in to the Ricoh MFDs with your regular desktop username and password.

How do I add a new employee to my department’s account for printing and copying?

  • Brand new to the college: They will automatically be added to the department account based on their payroll assignment.
  • Transferring from another FSW department: Email the employee’s name, Banner ID number, and the account index number authorized for printing and copying to AuxiliaryServices@fsw.edu .

I print and copy for multiple departments. How do I add additional accounts?

Have your department’s budget manager email AuxiliaryServices@fsw.edu with your name, Banner ID number, and the authorized account index number.

Is there a charge to scan?

No, scanning is free! However, you’ll still need to swipe your card or log in to access the scanning function on the Ricoh device

Why does it cost more to print on a desktop or stand-alone printer?

These printers consume more electricity, have higher toner costs, require more maintenance, and take more staff time to support. Whenever possible, use Ricoh Multifunctional Devices (MFDs) to save college resources.

Why isn’t there a discount for double-sided printing?

While double-sided printing does save paper, it requires the same amount of energy, toner, and machine use as single-sided printing. We encourage double-sided printing to help conserve resources.

Am I charged to scan?

No. Although you will still need to swipe your card or log on to the Ricoh in order to gain access to the scan function.

Why does it cost more to print to a desktop or stand-alone printer?

Printers use more electricity, toner is more expensive, maintenance and replacement parts are more costly, and they utilize more staff time to support. Whenever possible it is advised to shift your printing to one of the Ricoh Multifunctional Devices to save college resources.

Why don't I receive a discount printing on both sides of the paper?

Paper is only one part of the cost to print. It takes as much energy, toner, machine use, etc. to print an image on both sides of the paper. We do encourage you to do the right thing and print on both sides, or to print less, in order to conserve resources.
