Edison State College Charlotte Campus’ production of Alice in Wonderland

PUNTA GORDA – Follow Alice through the looking glass in Edison State College Charlotte Campus’ production of Alice in Wonderland this November.

All three performances of Lewis Carroll’s classic are sponsored by Delta Psi Omega, Edison’s theatre fraternity. Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20 and finale scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21 in the Charlotte campus auditorium.

General admission tickets are $10, students with ID are $7 and children under 12-years-old are $5. Tickets can be purchased at www.edison.edu/charlotte/theatre or via phone at 941-637-5601 ext. 3513.

“This show gives an exciting opportunity to blend students of different ages, talents and experiences,” Charlotte campus Theatre Director Sherie Ragan said. “We’ve assembled a wonderful cast with all the characters fans have grown to love throughout the years and will really enjoy.”

Alice in Wonderland’s most recent silver screen adaptation grossed more than 3.3 million at the box office this spring with the likes of Jonny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway among the cast.

Edison’s adaptation will feature students of Edison State, Edison Collegiate High School and Edison alumni. Edison theatre newcomers Heather Weir, Jackie Flannery and Johnathan Meyers play Alice, the Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat, respectively. Edison veterans Joseph White II and Kyle Smoothers portray the White Rabbit and Mad Hatter/White Knight, respectively.
