Upward Bound Awards Ceremony

Edison State College’s Upward Bound students are wrapping up the summer with a showcase of their hard work. 

 

The Upward Bound Awards Ceremony will be held at the Richard H. Rush Library Auditorium (Lee Campus) on Friday, July 24th from 1pm to 3pm to celebrate our students' many achievements.  There will be a brief slide show of summer activities, hear from ESC faculty and staff, community supporters, and pay tribute to Guichard Jean-Louis.

 

The drama class will put on a skit and the martial arts students will show off some moves. Students will receive awards like the 110% award and Outstanding Student Award in each of their classes. The Mr. and Ms. Upward Bound award to honor the two students who have consistently shown leadership qualities and best represent the program.   These 40 High School Students have taken classes in Spanish, Drama, Martial Arts, Fashion Design, Digital Photography, and Business Communications at Edison State College. These 40 Upward Bound participants have also visited LARC and the Boys and Girls Club to conduct community service every Wednesday afternoon. On Fridays we have visited FAU, the University of Miami, and FGCU.

 

We're all very excited to celebrate with our Upward Bound family and friends. Thanks again for support these amazing students. We'll see you on Friday!
