Free Newspapers On Campus

Apr 6, 2009

The Lee Campus at Edison State College will soon offer free copies of the Fort Myers News-Press and USA Today Monday-Friday.

The Student Government Association is sponsoring the small newspaper stands in Taeni Hall, Walker Hall, and in the Library Coffee Shop as part of the USA Today Collegiate Readership Program. The stands will house free copies of USA Today and the Fort Myers News-Press Monday through Friday for the remainder of the spring semester and then again at the start of the fall semester.

The goal of the Collegiate Readership Program is to enhance the learning environment on campus by exposing students to current events. The program is designed to promote a sharing of diverse perspectives and ideas related to responsible citizenship while preparing students to live and work in a global economy. As educators, empowering our students to seek knowledge beyond the classroom will guide them on a path towards lifelong learning. Please feel visit the link to learn more about program.
