Edison State College, Lee campus, announces new Public Information Specialist

Veteran public relations professional, Pamela L. Nulman, APR,

 to coordinate campus communications

 

Fort Myers, FL.  (August 28, 2008)  --- Pamela L. Nulman, APR, has joined Edison State College as the Public Information Specialist for the Lee County campus.

 

Reporting to Campus President Dr. Robert R. Jones, Nulman will coordinate internal and external campus communications to build awareness and keep students, faculty, staff and the local community on the leading edge of emerging opportunities, contributions and the successes of Edison State College. 

 

“For more than 40 years, Edison State College has been one of Lee County’s most valuable assets,” said Jones.  “As we begin the 2008-2009 academic year as a newly designated state college, we are entering an exciting new chapter in our school’s history. We need to share the Edison State story in terms of our overall growth, expanded opportunities for student success, community impact and the pivotal role we will play as a cultural hub for Southwest Florida.”

 

A seasoned public relations and marketing professional, Nulman has more than 20 years experience in media relations, internal communications, fundraising, brand management and crisis communications.  Her past experience includes working with WCI Communities, Lee County’s Office of Economic Development, Motorola and Arizona State University.

 

Nulman received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Communications Management from Syracuse University.  She serves on the board of directors of the Southwest Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Education and Professional Accreditation Committees for the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, and as a volunteer at The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
