The lead article entitled "Moving Up" focuses on the dramatic increase in the numbers of associate degrees awarded in the last five years. Reasons cited are increased demand among students who see the associate degree as a way to improve themselves, especially given the current economy, improved access to online courses, and the increased role of private, for-profit colleges in associate degree production.
Edison College is a Florida state college serving 17,000 credit-seeking students at campuses in Lee, Charlotte and Collier counties, a center serving Hendry/Glades counties, and through Edison Online. For additional information call 1-800-749-2322 or visit www.edison.edu.
