SEPTEMBER 16, 2015 – PUNTA GORDA, FLA – Florida SouthWestern Collegiate High School (FSWC) Charlotte was recently named one of America’s Top High Schools 2015 by Newsweek. It was one of only 14 Florida high schools to make the list.
The Newsweek High School Rankings assess schools based on a broad range of data to determine which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college.
FSWC-Charlotte ranked 154th out of 500 national schools in Beating the Odds 2015, which identifies schools that do an excellent job of preparing their students for college while also overcoming the obstacles posed by students at an economic disadvantage. FSWC-Charlotte was also ranked 321st out of 500 schools in America’s Top High Schools 2015.
“The Newsweek rankings are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and teachers,” said FSWC Principal Matthew Catanzarite. “The rankings are proof that our students are being thoroughly prepared for the rigors of college.”
