Edison State Charlotte Professor Interviewed for C-SPAN

APRIL 16, 2014 – PUNTA GORDA, FLA. –Dr. Douglas Houck, local author and English and writing adjunct professor at the Edison State College Charlotte Campus, was recently interviewed for the national television channel C-SPAN. The interview is part of the program “BookTV in Fort Myers, Florida”, which focuses on Southwest Florida with a special emphasis on the Fort Myers area, including its history and culture.
Dr. Houck was interviewed about his book, "The Peace River Boundary", which details Southwest Florida from 1839-1865, the history of the Peace River, the Seminole and American civil wars, and the role of ships and commerce during that time.
The interview will air on C-SPAN2 BookTV at 11:45 a.m. on April 19, and at 10:45 a.m. on April 20.
