Edison State Technology Building to be named Presidio IT Center

Knowledge and technology go hand in hand. That relationship advances to the next level when leaders from Edison State College and Presidio gather at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 on the Fort Myers campus to officially introduce the new Presidio IT Center at Edison State College.

“This day will further illustrate how creating mutually beneficial partnerships can open new opportunities,” said Dr. Jeff Allbritten, President, Edison State College. “We have been in need of a new collaboration platform, and thanks to the expertise and effort from Presidio, that need is now a reality. This new Cisco based voice platform will allow us to take advantage of the technological advances in voice and messaging communications.”

"We are pleased to be partnering with Edison State College and helping enable them to continue to evolve their business operations to provide the best education to their students,” stated Rudy Casasola, President of Presidio South. “The ability for an organization to communicate seamlessly between platforms and collaborate is vital to productivity and efficiency.”

The new unified collaboration solution allows Edison State to leverage their infrastructure investments for voice and collaboration. As a more streamlined and efficient system, it will also save the college money in operations while also providing enhanced video capabilities.

The event is open to all Edison employees, students and the general public. There will be tours of the new Presidio IT Center at Edison State College following the brief ceremony.
