Edison Collegiate High School Charlotte Students Receive $1.2 Million in Scholarships

Members of the 2013 class with Edison Collegiate High School Charlotte (ECHS) have collectively received over $1.2 million in college scholarships. Of the 79 graduates, 32 were granted scholarships that range from $400 to $30,000.

“We have watched the inaugural class of ECHS Charlotte from the very beginning and we are so proud of the students for all of their accomplishments,” said Diane Juneau, Principal of ECHS Charlotte. “To know that the graduating class of 2013 has received more than $1.2 million in college scholarships speaks volumes about the dedication of the students, as well as the faculty and staff. The future for these students is very bright!”

Students in the 2013 ECHS class are continuing their education at a variety of colleges and universities, including USF, NOVA, UF, Flagler, Edison State College, University of Utah, Emory, FGCU, Valencia, UCF, Ringling, FSU and Stetson, to name a few.

ECHS Charlotte is designed to provide students of all ability levels an opportunity to graduate with both a high school degree and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from Edison State College. The teaching methods used provide students an engaging learning environment and opportunities to receive additional educational resources through the high school and Edison State College. ECHS recently celebrated its first official high school graduation with the class of 2013, who were the inaugural class. Students enjoy small class sizes and individualized attention at ECHS since the school has a maximum of 400 students, 100 per grade from nine through 12.
