Jul 2, 2013

Edison State College President, Dr. Jeff Allbritten, today announced that two, long-time campus leaders have assumed new and expanded roles for the college.

Dr. Patricia Land, Charlotte Campus President, and Dr. Robert Jones, Collier Campus President, have new titles and a more regional approach. Their new title is Regional Vice President for Economic and Community Development. They also remain as president of their respective campuses.

“This is part of our message of truly being one college that has a regional impact,” said Dr. Allbritten. “Both Dr. Land and Dr. Jones have been exceptional leaders with their roles on campus and within their communities. Their new roles simply give that community outreach a more regional approach.”

Dr. Land’s community outreach and economic development efforts include all of Charlotte County, Glades County and stretches into Lee County with Cape Coral and North Fort Myers. Dr. Jones’s community outreach and economic development efforts include all of Collier County, Hendry County and Lee County, up to and including Fort Myers.

Celebrating over 50 years of excellence, Edison State College is Southwest Florida’s largest, most accessible and affordable institution of higher education. Proud to be tobacco-free, Edison State serves more than 24,000 students across five counties and through Edison Online.
