State of Education Forum Set for July 18

Edison State College, in conjunction with the Lee County Public Schools and Dr. Joseph Burke, Superintendent, will host a public forum to update business and community leaders about the state of education in Florida. Gerard Robinson, Commissioner of Education, is the featured speaker.
The meeting, which will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, is free and open to the public. It will be held in the “U” Building on the Fort Myers campus of Edison State College.
“This is an excellent opportunity for the community to participate in a forum that will help develop strategies to keep the educational needs of our area in the forefront,” said J. Dudley Goodlette, Interim District President, Edison State College.
