May 4, 2012

FORT MYERS, FLA. – The next step in Edison State College’s search for a District President begins at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 on the Lee Campus in Building U, Room 102. The Presidential Search Committee will review the resumes and information provided by prospective candidates for the position. The meeting is open to the public.

All potential candidates have until 5 p.m. on Monday, May 7 to submit their resumes and letters of interest.

“We have received over 30 resumes and letters of interest from candidates across the country,” said Ann Berlam, Chair of the 13-member Presidential Search Committee and Chair of the Edison State College Board of Trustees. “The next step is for the committee to review all of this information and narrow the list to a small group of finalists. In the coming weeks, we will schedule these candidates for interviews.”

The charge of the committee, added Berlam, is to recommend three to five finalists to the Board of Trustees. Those finalists will be interviewed by the Board of Trustees, who will then make the final decision.
