Presidential Search Meeting Scheduled for May

The national search for a new district president for Edison State College is moving forward.

The 13-member Presidential Search Advisory Committee has scheduled its next meeting for May 8, 2012. Members will review all of the resumes and information supplied by presidential candidates. The committee will select a small group of finalists.

The working dinner meeting will begin at 4 p.m. on the Lee Campus in Building U, Room 102.

In order to keep the public informed about the presidential search, a website has been developed at edison.edu/president/search/.  This website offers information that includes job description, presidential qualifications and a comprehensive position profile.  It will also include timely updates in the search process.

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee met for the first time on February 23, 2012 on the Lee Campus. The committee has 13 members, which include Ann Berlam, Chair of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee, Darol Carr, Joyce Rollins, Dr. Allen Weiss, Tom Conner, Dr. John Huysman, Miguel Fernandez, Amanda Pollitt, Don Ransford, Christine Davis, Andrae Jones, Charlene Wolfe, and Dania Flores.

The group expects to meet in mid-May to interview the finalists. After the interviews, they will make their final recommendations to the Edison State District Board of Trustees.
