Come to First Annual STEM Related Career Fair

Mar 16, 2012

Edison State College will host its first annual STEM Career Fair next week.

The mathematics and science departments, in collaboration with Career Services, are sponsoring this event to show the relevance of math and science education for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers.

More than 27 local organizations in STEM related fields will participate in the fair. Some of those companies include Alliance Financial Group of South Florida, Inc, Natural Resources Dept of Lee County Government and Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation.

This is not specifically a job fair but an opportunity to expand students’ knowledge of and interest in STEM related fields. It is an opportunity for local business professionals to mentor and impact the lives of students.

The Career Fair is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Building U, Room 102.
