Area Colleges, Universities to Host “Just the Facts” College Fair
October 26, 2011 – FORT MYERS, FLA. -- Edison State College, Florida Gulf Coast University, Hodges University, Nova Southeastern University, Rasmussen College, ITT Technical Institute, High Tech Central, High Tech North and the East Lee County High School Career Center announce the first informational seminar and college fair of its kind in our area, “Just the Facts!”
The event is from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 on Edison State College’s Lee Campus, Building U. The seminar begins at 6:00 p.m. Seats are limited for the seminar, so register today at www.edison.edu/justthefacts.
This event is designed to give area high school juniors and seniors, and their families, along with any interested transfer students, the opportunity to meet face-to-face with local college officials in one convenient location.
Topics in the seminar portion of the event include:
Learning about the options available to determine whether a university, college or technical center is right for you.
Getting insight and support from your high school guidance counselor – they can be a useful resource as you navigate the admissions process.
Learning about the application process and what to do to get into the school of your choice.
Finding out about the options available to help you fund your college education.
Local college representatives will also have information tables.
Edison State College’s Lee Campus is located at 8099 College Parkway in Fort Myers.
