PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Edison Collegiate High School teacher Dawn Nolan was selected for Gulfshore Business’ annual “40 Under Forty” feature that highlights prominent individuals throughout Southwest Florida.
The 36-year-old math teacher helped her ECHS students score among the state’s top 2 percent in FCAT scores and also serves as choir director. A wife and mother of four, Nolan’s previous accomplishment at Good Sheppard Day School also were noted in the article.
“My goal each day is to challenge students to push themselves to their limits, think critically and know success; to be honored for that is flattering,” Nolan said. “The fact that Gulfshore Business has recognized a teacher as a leader means a great deal to many of us within education, and I’m extremely grateful to be that teacher.”
