Observatory opens for 2011-12 season

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – The James and Barbara Moore Observatory located on the Charlotte campus of Edison State College begins its 2011-12 season of free public viewings on Friday, Sept. 16.
Viewings typically begin 30 to 45 minutes after sunset. Sessions are the third Friday each month through May, weather permitting. For the complete list of viewings and to schedule free group sessions visit edison.edu/charlotte/observatory.php or call 941-637-3518.
