Dufflar Joins as Hispanic Outreach Coordinator

Officials with Edison State College are pleased to announce that Alvaro Dufflar has joined as the college’s full-time Hispanic Outreach Coordinator.
“We are very happy to have Alvaro join us. His marketing skills and friendly personality will be a great asset as we serve our growing population of Hispanic students,” said Dr. Kenneth Walker, District President. “He has quickly established his ability to represent us within the Hispanic community.”
Dufflar’s responsibilities include working with students to maximize their educational experiences and job opportunities and developing strong relationships with Hispanic businesses.
The Guayaquil, Ecuador native earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Marketing from Universidad Laica Vicente Rocafuerte / Ecuador. He has appeared on CNN and many local TV channels. He has also been instrumental with the development and implementation of the Spanish version of the Edison State College website, at www.edison.edu/espanol. He is also a regular contributing writer for local Hispanic newspapers. A member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, he serves as Vice Chair of the Board for the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
