Jul 7, 2011
Edison State College Collier Campus, in partnership with the Immokalee Technical Center (iTECH), has announced its fall schedule. The partnership began in the fall of 2009, with two courses offered at the iTECH Collegiate Center. This fall, there are three courses offered on the iTECH campus with the potential to serve up to 75 students. Students can register at either the Collier Campus or Hendry/Glades Center.
“This will be our third year of offering courses so Immokalee High school students and area adults can advance their education right in their community,” said Dr. Robert R. Jones, Vice President and Provost, Edison State College Hendry/Glades Center President. “We are especially pleased to continue our partnership with iTECH in order to make this possible. This opens the door for students to earn an Associate or Bachelor degree from Edison State College.”
Students may choose to take any or all of the following courses: Composition I, Composition II and US History-1865 to Present. There are no fees or tuition required for high school students who are dual enrolled. Dual Enrollment can be arranged through the Immokalee High School guidance department. Interested adults pay registration and tuition fees set by Edison State College.
Registration is available online at www.edison.edu or in person at the Collier County campus or the Edison State College Hendry/Glades Center, 1092 E. Cowboy Way in LaBelle, by August 23rd. The Edison State College Collier Campus, 7007 Lely Cultural Parkway, is located off Collier Boulevard, three miles north of Tamiami Trail East.
