NAPLES, FLA. – For the second consecutive year, the Student Government Association (SGA) at Edison State College Collier Campus won three of the four prestigious Bob Graham Awards during the annual Florida Junior Community Colleges Student Government Association (FJCCSGA) Year End Conference and Rally in Tally in Tallahassee from March 21-25.

Nominations are received statewide from Student Government Associations. This is the fifth year in a row the Collier Campus has had members win this award. In the 54 years of FJCCSGA history, this is a first for any college statewide.  The awards are given to one student, one faculty/staff member, one community supporter and one SGA/SAB/CAB advisor to recognize their service to a community or state college.

The Collier Campus won in the following categories: Advisor Category: Sue Buntic;  Community Supporter Category:  Jennifer Smith, from the Collier County Health Department and the Employee Category:  Dr. Kenneth Walker.

This year, five members of the Collier Campus SGA attended the several workshops and presentations.

“We are extremely proud of our SGA students and their achievements. They are an exceptional example of what can be achieved with dedication and leadership skills,” said Dr. Jeff Allbritten, President, Edison State College Collier Campus.

The Edison State College Collier Campus, 7007 Lely Cultural Parkway, is located off Collier Boulevard, three miles north of Tamiami Trail East.
