Edison State College Appoints Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs
Edison State College is pleased to announce Dr. Edith Pendleton has been appointed to the position of Interim Vice President, Academic Affairs.
Dr. Pendleton has a long history with and commitment to the College’s mission and culture. A professor of English and Literature from 1989-1994, she understands the professional integrity and commitment of the faculty and their service to the College and the students. She brings 10 years of experience in academic administration, having served as the District Dean of Arts and Sciences from 1994-2004. She became District Vice President, Student Services, in 2005, and encouraged the philosophy of Servant Leadership in all aspects of student life. In 2007, she became Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, and most recently assumed responsibility for the development of the College’s Strategic Plan, Destination 2020: Creating a Pathway for Our Future.
“As I spoke with faculty leaders and administrators, it was determined that Dr. Pendleton would be an excellent fit for this important position,” said Dr. Kenneth P. Walker, District President, Edison State College.
