Why Do I Have to Include This Information?
FSW is an equal access and equal opportunity institution and as such has a policy regarding the placement of a nondiscrimination, equal opportunity and affirmative action statement. This policy and statement applies to any members of the college and includes prospective and current students, all employees, and vendors who work with the college. This statement is required to be visible by Federal law and ensures that members of the FSW community are aware of their rights and responsibility.
Full EEO
The full EEO must be used:
- For long pieces which are greater than 2 pages. This can be published on the inside cover, near the table of contents, final page or back cover.
- College Catalogue
- Student handbook
- Faculty handbook
- FSW Viewbook
The EEO must be legible! The full statement should be set at least 8 point font, and we suggest italicizing.

Exemptions
The EEO statement is not necessary for the following:
- Stationary and business cards
- Invitations to special events (not including flyers)
- Billboards or other large outdoor advertisements
- On-campus signage, directional signage or monuments
- General email correspondence
- Course syllabi, FSW forms, e-books and college published materials and educational materials
- Broadcast advertising (TV or Radio)
- Digital advertising (web banner ads)
- Event programs and speaker list
