Biography

<p><strong>RAY LENIUS, MS, RCIS</strong> is a faculty member in the Cardiovascular Technology and Cardiopulmonary Sciences programs. He graduated with an Associate of Science degree in computer programming from Technical College of the Lowcountry in South Carolina.&nbsp; Upon graduating, he relocated to Lee County and worked for the Lee County Clerk of Courts. After several years, he decided to change careers and discovered his desire to enter the medical field. He enrolled in the Cardiovascular Technology Program at FSW and graduated top of his class. While working in the catheterization lab, Ray taught part time in the CVT Program and continued his education. In 2008, he received a Master of Science degree in Health Science with a concentration in health education from Florida Gulf Coast University. He is active with the Joint Review Committee for Cardiovascular Technology (JRC-CVT), which is the accrediting body for cardiovascular programs across the United States. He serves on the Executive Committee of the JRC-CVT, and is a self-study report reviewer and site visitor. In addition, Ray works with the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals as a presenter, and has taught several Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist review courses. Ray has had two articles published in a peer-reviewed journal that targets the cardiovascular profession.</p>
